Lakefront Community Kick-off: A Global Gathering at the Edge of the Future 🌍
Reflections from our Lakefront Island Week that kicked-off the new community.
Last week, something extraordinary happened.
Twenty-five of us—artists, scientists, facilitators, activists, founders, and seekers—arrived by boat to a small private island in Sweden. We came from every continent of the world: from Peru and South Africa, to Ukraine, Hong Kong, and Australia. From Chile, the US, Turkey, and all across Europe.
We gathered for the official community kick-off of Emerge Lakefront — a residency project and living experiment for those longing to live in alignment with what the future needs now.
This wasn’t a retreat.
It was a threshold — into a new chapter of collective living, shared purpose, and regenerative culture.
🌀 What we came for
Emerge Lakefront is more than a beautiful place to live. It’s a living laboratory for inner development, systemic change, and meaningful connection.
Over the course of a week, we dropped into a rhythm that felt at once ancient and entirely new.
Each day opened with quiet mornings in nature, community practice, and shared meals. From there, the days unfolded through a flow of learning, governance creation, personal stories, and co-created offerings that helped us weave the soul of our emerging community.
Some highlights from the week:
Deep sharing pods each morning to explore where we are, what we long for, and what’s alive
Workshops on inner ecology, movement alchemy, decentralized communities, and vulnerability
Beautiful meals prepared with care — and stories shared late into the night by fire and stars
A daily “Island Reset” where we took care of the land and space together
Free time to walk, rest, sauna, jam, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves
Every moment became a thread in something larger: a collective field of belonging, beauty, and becoming.
🌿 Why it matters
This gathering marked a threshold moment — not just for the project, but for all of us. For the first time, we reached a critical mass of residents living at Lakefront:
🌍 25 humans, now anchoring a new way of being together
🫂 From all continents, backgrounds, and disciplines
🧬 Each bringing their gifts into the shared field
And at the heart of it all is a deeper purpose:
“Living attuned to and co-creating the evolving field, while acting as a vessel for the unfolding whole.”
That’s the essence of Lakefront.
Not a static vision, but a living invitation:
To be of service to something larger, wiser, and emerging through us all.

We are now returning to our home base in Stockholm — to continue living, prototyping, and deepening this experiment in real time. The conversations, collaborations, and quiet revolutions that began on the island are already echoing through our shared days here.
